The Employment Act 2002: This act was recived on 8th July 2002.It covers work and parents, dispute resolution in the work place and improvements to employment tribunal prosedures.There is a new right to time off work for union leraning representatives, work focused interviews for pepole reciving working-age benefits.This act follows the governments commitment to achevie a highly productive, morden and sucessful work place through kindness fairness and working as partners in work. It allows rules to be simplyfied such as, maternity, paternity and adoption leave and pay.
Employmentm Rights Acts of 1996: This act was passed by the UK Parliament in 1996. The workes have the right to see details of their pay statements etc, they should recive paid time off for public duteis such as, jury duty, ante natal care and traning, the emplyoyees must also be given a wrriten notice of dismissal and an appropriate notice period. This act also gives you the emplyee the righte to dissmisall related to pregnancy, martenity or parternity leave, also dismisall related to a request for felxbile working, and health and saftey.
This act basically require that certain terms of conditions must be set out in a single doucument, this can be chossen to be written in “ contract of employment” or“statement of main terms and conditions opf emplyoment”, this must contain both contractual and statutory right.
